The Park family have been farming at Buston, near Alnwick in Northumberland since 1965. Each year, in addition to wheat and oil seed rape, a number of different varieties are grown including heritage potatoes. Around half the crop are grown as seed potatoes; the remainder are what’s known as ware and are sold to the public either direct from the farm or through wholesalers.

About Our farm

The farming business trades as J&R Park. The Partners in the business are John and Rosamund Park and their sons David and Andrew. The business currently farms around 1500 acres comprising Buston Barns Farm, Low Buston Farm, Eastfield Farm and New Barns Farm. Additional land is rented on a seasonal basis for growing potatoes. The business employs five full-time staff and a number of seasonal workers.
